Western Door is proud to announce the expansion into the retail/consumer marketplace with a consumer direct division called Western Service, according to the president of Western Door, Cliff Sherwood.

The housing slowdown has affected many industries in California including the carpentry business. This became apparent when home builders didn’t call on Western Door as frequently. Management decided to re-brand itself, opening up business to existing homeowners who want professional carpentry services in their homes. With newly designed marketing tools, teams were formed within the company to reach out to consumers and tout the offerings of the new Western Service division.

Western Service specializes in a variety of home improvement carpentry such as exterior & interior doors, wainscoting, moulding, faux wood beams, custom fireplace mantels and more.

Both homeowners and custom home contractors can call upon Western Service to obtain competitive bids on a full range of finish carpentry. Western Service carpenters are highly trained, from consultations and quotes, to selection and installation of quality product from leading manufacturers. “This has opened up the door for homeowners to get personalized service with a qualified carpentry partner. It also eliminates the inconvenience of hiring a supplier and a contractor separately, which can add to the guesswork.” says Western Service Manager Scott Vaughn.

Western Door has provided quality fine finish carpentry in over 8,500 homes per year across Southern California; from Temecula to Bakersfield, Los Angeles, Ventura and the High & Low Deserts.

Western Service is fully staffed to service homes that need updated carpentry work. They have a team of 250 employees, including 59 field carpenters, 8 field supers, 21 journeyman, 16 hardware installers, 20 delivery trucks, and a 70K square foot warehouse, located in Riverside, CA.
